In afternoon trading on Friday, Utilities stocks are the worst performing sector, showing a 0.9% loss. Within that group, American Electric Power Company, (NYSE: AEP) and DTE Energy (NYSE: DTE) are two large stocks that are lagging, showing a loss of 1.8% and 1.5%, respectively. Among utilities ETFs, one ETF following the sector is the Utilities Select Sector SPDR ETF (AMEX: XLU), which is down 0.8% on the day, and up 13.59% year-to-date. In afternoon trading on Friday, Healthcare stocks are the best performing sector, losing just 0.2%. Within that group, Tenet Healthcare (NYSE: THC) and Quest Diagnostics (NYSE: DGX) are two large stocks leading the way, showing a gain of 8.2% and 1.3%, respectively. Among healthcare ETFs, one ETF following the sector is the Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (AMEX: XLV), which is down 0.5% on the day, and up 12.16% year-to-date.
