Western Digital witnessed a 4% year-on-year decline of its branded product shipments in the March quarter to 6.27 million units. However, this figure rose by over 13% y-o-y in the June quarter to 6 million units, which the company attributed to a healthy demand for personal storage products ? especially in the consumer electronics division. The introduction of My Passport Wireless is likely to build on this momentum and should help boost Western Digital?s branded product sales in the coming quarters.
