Google is a funny kind of an organization. For the longest time the home of the coolest kids and the provider of some of the most developer-friendly platforms, the company has, to a certain extent, lost some developer momentum in recent years. As Microsoft has re-imagined its various platforms and Amazon Web Services (AWS) has continued its epic march to cloud domination, these two vendors have been scooping up lots of users. That’s not to say Google has been sitting still, Android, ChromeOS and its other platforms are certainly ones to watch. But it is an indication that Google can’t sit still.
